The Civil Guard has arrested two men, aged 45 and 48 and residing in Córdoba, in Pozoblanco, as alleged perpetrators of a theft of aluminum valued at over 5,000 euros in Villanueva del Duque.

The events unfolded after a report was filed at the Civil Guard Post in Villanueva del Duque, detailing the theft of aluminum structures and other materials from a facility located in the Los Ángeles Industrial Estate of the town.
After verifying the report, officers launched a thorough investigation to clarify the theft, identify those responsible, and recover the stolen material. Initial inquiries, conducted by the Civil Guard's ROCA Team, which operates in the northern part of the province, suggested that the stolen material might have been sold at a scrap metal dealership.
Inspections carried out at various establishments led the Civil Guard to locate material matching the description in one of them. The complainant identified the aluminum as their property, resulting in the recovery of approximately 309 kilograms.
As a result of the investigation and the proceedings initiated, the involvement of the two residents of Córdoba was determined. They were subsequently arrested as alleged perpetrators of the theft. The detainees and the corresponding proceedings have been placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
