The XXXVII edition of the Califas 10K Race, organized by the Califas Athletics Club - University of Córdoba, will take place on Sunday, April 19 in Córdoba, bringing together over 1,200 runners in its debut as a Provincial Championship.
The Califas Athletics Club - University of Córdoba has unveiled a new edition of its certified 10-kilometer race, featuring significant novelties and a massive turnout this year. The event is part of the Provincial Popular Races Circuit and, for the first time, holds the status of Provincial 10K Road Championship, ensuring a large influx of athletes from across Andalusia.
The competition is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, starting and finishing at the IDM Fontanar from 10:00 AM. More than 1,000 male and female runners are expected to participate in the streets of Córdoba, eager to join the prestigious event. The official presentation took place at Córdoba's Roman Bridge, attended by Isabel Albás, president of the Córdoba Municipal Sports Institute, and Sebastián del Rey, its manager. The Califas Athletics Club - University of Córdoba was represented by its president, Antonio Romero.
The race will continue to offer prizes in all categories, including cash prizes for the top three finishers in both female and male categories. Additionally, this edition features a new route designed to encompass both emblematic streets, such as the Ribera area, and a fast circuit ideal for athletes looking to improve their personal best in the 10K.
The XXXVII edition of the 10K Califas Córdoba 2026 reaffirms Córdoba's position as a key city for sports, particularly athletics, attracting athletes interested in the organization by the Califas Athletics Club - University of Córdoba and the support of local and provincial institutions.
