Recent efforts to keep the club under the direction of local businessmen have been unsuccessful. Therefore, the ownership transfer is expected to be formalized next week, making Ramón Lázaro the new head of the institution.
It was on May 21st that José García Román, who led the project until now, announced his decision to step down as president. After thirteen years at the helm of an initiative that started from the ground up and reached the top tier of futsal, García Román cited "accumulated wear and tear" and the need for a "new management model".
“"If I could manage this, anyone can"
Despite his departure, García Román issued a challenge to Córdoba's business community, expressing his confidence that other local managers could take over and continue the club's success.
