The initiative, now in its third edition, primarily aims to bolster municipal services during the summer season, covering vacations and key areas such as swimming pools, lifeguarding, cleaning, maintenance, and libraries.
The president of the provincial institution, Salvador Fuentes, highlighted during the delivery of corresponding materials that the program acts as a "labor lever" for municipalities, facilitating access to the job market, especially for young people.
For his part, the delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment, Félix Romero, described the program as "eminently social," prioritizing the hiring of groups such as youth, individuals over 45, long-term unemployed, and people with disabilities.
The distribution of the 625 contracts includes 248 for those under 45, 223 for those over 45, 80 for the long-term unemployed, and 74 for people with disabilities. Jobs will focus on maintenance and care of public spaces (398), collective utility services (145), leisure and free time activities (27), libraries and culture (23), sports (20), collective transport (3), local product promotion (2), and proximity commerce promotion (1).
In terms of professional profiles, contracts are highlighted for trades personnel (169), cleaning staff (139), multi-purpose employees (66), building maintenance (59), and administrative staff (48), in addition to positions in environment, libraries, daycare centers, home assistance, tourism, reception, ushers, drivers, and porters.
Territorially, Los Pedroches will receive 127 grants, followed by Subbética with 123. Campiña Sur will have 90, Vega del Guadalquivir 78, the Valle del Guadiato and Alto Guadalquivir 77 each, the Guadajoz-Campiña Este area 44, and Encinarejo nine.
The call is aimed at municipalities with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants, and contracts must be formalized until December 31, 2026.
