At the forum organized by Cadena SER and the Fundación Unicaja, titled 'The Metro: Granada Towards Its Future', administrations and civil society discussed the metropolitan mobility model. Ogíjares argued for the Metro's arrival as an essential connection to improve citizen travel, reduce traffic, and promote more sustainable mobility.
The new General Urban Planning Plan (PGOM) for Ogíjares already includes the municipality's growth with this future rail connection in mind, positioning it within the Metro Master Plan.
The event highlighted the importance of metropolitan planning, reaffirming that the future of mobility in the Granada metropolitan area also involves Ogíjares.
