Solemnity and religious fervor marked the Corpus Christi Octave weekend in Cordoba. The streets were filled with praise, prayers, and music, accompanying various processions held in different parts of the city. Several of these celebrations were notable for the presentation of new patrimonial acquisitions.
The parish of Beato Álvaro de Córdoba served as the starting point for one of the processions, organized by the brotherhood of the Sagrada Cena. The image of the Immaculate Conception was displayed on a new float, adorned with white and blue flowers. Later, the Custody, decorated with wheat ears as an Eucharistic symbol, shone under the sun on its float, accompanied by the Musical Group of the Cena.
From Capuchinos, the brotherhood of Císter conducted its procession known as 'Corpus Chico', presenting two floats: one with the image of the Dulce Nombre de Jesús, by Antonio Eslava, and another with Jesus the Sacrament, accompanied by the band of the Esperanza.
The Child Jesus debuted a new tunic set, designed by Jesús Zurita and embroidered in the Bordados Santa Clara workshop. New gilded sterling silver rays, crafted by Manuel Aguilera, and a cincture designed by Zurita were also presented. The floral arrangement for the Child Jesus' float harmonized with the new tunic, while the Lord's float featured yellow and white, referencing the Pope's recent visit to Spain.
The parish of Trinidad also held its Eucharistic procession with great solemnity, accompanied by the Musical Group Afligidos de Puente Genil.
