With the arrival of summer, Alcalá de Guadaíra, in the province of Seville, has implemented changes to the hours of its tourist attractions. These adjustments are intended to facilitate visits during the hottest months and periods of higher visitor numbers, as reported by the tourism delegation.
The delegate for Tourism, Christopher Rivas, highlighted the importance of the town's historical legacy, stating that the schedule reorganization aims to "adapt the municipal tourist offer to the specific conditions of summer." The modifications affect emblematic sites such as the Castle of Alcalá, the San Miguel Center, the Molino de la Mina, and the local Museum.
The opening hours vary between June, July, and August, including specific closing days and adjustments for Sundays and holidays. The Castle of Alcalá de Guadaíra and the San Miguel Center will have different schedules in June (Tuesdays to Fridays mornings, Saturdays with a double shift, and Sundays/holidays mornings) and July (Tuesdays to Saturdays, including a night opening). They will remain closed on Mondays in both months.
The Museum of Alcalá de Guadaíra will be open Monday to Friday mornings, with additional afternoon openings from Tuesdays to Fridays in June, and a slight adjustment to the afternoon slot during July. There will be no activity on Monday afternoons.
La Harinera del Guadaíra and the Tourist Office will maintain continuous morning hours from Monday to Friday in June, with additional afternoon hours and service on weekends and holidays. From July onwards, their operation will be simplified to Monday to Friday mornings, with afternoons and weekend services being suspended.
Meanwhile, the Molino de la Mina will be closed from June 29th for approximately one month due to improvement and maintenance work. After this period, it will resume its activity with hours from Tuesday to Friday mornings, weekends and holidays, and afternoon openings from Thursday to Sunday. It will be closed on Mondays.
