The blaze, which started on Thursday afternoon, is at operational level 1, requiring the preventive evacuation of 23 inhabitants from the hamlets of Raboconejo and Caballón. The Infoca service has urged the public to avoid risks and follow the instructions of the emergency teams on site.
The First Vice-President and Minister of the Presidency, Health, and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, is coordinating the situation from the Advanced Command Post deployed in the area. He is expected to provide an update on the fire's progress following a coordination meeting.
A total of 24 aerial units, seven more than at midday, are working alongside 120 ground personnel to contain the flames. The aerial fleet includes eleven helicopters and thirteen planes, with some units from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Miteco).
Firefighting efforts are supported by seven water-tanker vehicles, four bulldozers, and the ground crew.
