The 'ComunicA' program involved nearly 100 schools in Córdoba during the 2025/26 academic year, as part of the Ministry of Education's strategy to enhance the communication skills of Andalusian students. The Minister of Education, María del Carmen Castillo, highlighted the importance of initiatives like school radio and debate tournaments, which generate great interest among students. She also emphasized the inclusion of media and audiovisual literacy development, adapting to 21st-century languages and the current digital context.
Participating educational centers plan systematic and evaluable activities focused on oral expression and listening, interaction and argumentation, functional and creative reading and writing, as well as audiovisual literacy, which includes critical comprehension and the creation of audiovisual products.

Educational debate, a key activity of the program, fosters linguistic communication competence and social skills such as responsibility, critical judgment, and democratic behavior. Last year, the 5th Andalusian Educational Debate Tournament was held in Spanish, English, and French, a formative activity that aids teachers in the comprehensive development of students.
School radios also serve as a fundamental tool for communication, reading, and literacy. A total of 59 public centers in the province had this activity last year, and it will be consolidated with the creation of the Network of Andalusian Schoolchildren (REdA).
The Ministry of Education is preparing a new call for the upcoming academic year, aiming to strengthen the communicative competence of Andalusian students, promote media literacy, and facilitate the exchange of best practices among public educational centers. The registration period will be from September 1st to 30th, and teacher training courses and in-person meetings will be offered.
As a complement, the Ministry continues with the 'Abecedaria' program, focused on spectator training through the Andalusian Network of Public Theaters, which last year included 256 performances for schoolchildren from 500 Andalusian educational centers.
