The Civil Guard of Granada, as part of its efforts against drug trafficking in rural areas, has successfully concluded Operation Guardas. This action, carried out by the ROCA Team of the Baza Company, has led to the dismantling of a drug dealing point in the town of Caniles.
As a result of the operation, two individuals, a man and a woman aged 22 and 29 respectively, have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking offense.
The investigation began in August 2025, following reports of unusual movement of people in a specific street in the municipality. This situation had caused concern among residents, who suspected the existence of a drug dealing point, as reported by the Armed Institute.
Given these indications, the ROCA Team established a discreet surveillance operation to verify the facts, confirming drug trafficking activity. The operation culminated in a search and entry into a home, authorized by judicial authority.
During the search, agents seized 41 grams of marijuana buds, 77 grams of chopped marijuana, and twelve grams of rock cocaine. These substances were allegedly intended for retail distribution.
