Last Sunday, Baena became the epicenter of Andalusian duathlon by celebrating the second edition of its competition. Organized by Triatlón Baena in collaboration with the Baena City Council, the Andalusian Triathlon Federation, the Córdoba Provincial Council, and the Junta de Andalucía, the event attracted athletes from across the community.
This event was not only a meeting point for sports enthusiasts but also held significant competitive relevance. It was the last scoring event of the Andalusian Duathlon Circuit 2026 and the second of the Córdoba Provincial Duathlon and Triathlon Circuit 2026, adding an extra layer of excitement and challenge to the day.
In the men's category, victory went to Pablo Fernández, representing the Isbilya-Sloppy Joe's team, who completed the race with a time of 56:45. He was followed on the podium by Alfonso Bastos, from Triatlón Albacete, with 57:45, and Santiago Javier Muros, from AD Sevilla, who finished in 57:56.
The women's competition was much tighter, with a close victory for Laura Núñez, representing Inforhouse Santiago, who crossed the finish line in 1:06:11. Just a few seconds behind, Alicia Soriano, from Montilla-Córdoba Triatlón, secured second place with 1:06:39. Third place went to María Alisa Sushch, also from the Montilla team, with a time of 1:09:10.
