Xerez Toyota Nimauto will play in the second tier of national futsal next season, a milestone achieved more than 20 years after Jerez last had representation in this division. The team sealed its promotion by defeating Mengíbar in an exciting final, winning both the first leg at Ruiz-Mateos (4-3) and the second leg (2-3). This achievement culminates a demanding playoff where they also eliminated Inter Movistar's reserve team and Lauburu.
Following the promotion, congratulations poured in. The mayor of Jerez, María José García-Pelayo, expressed her congratulations on social media, calling the feat "vibrant and deserved" and highlighting the team's "sensational" season. The Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF) also joined in the praise, as did other clubs such as Virgili Cádiz, Isleño, and Avanza Jaén.
The specialized portal Futsalsur celebrated the return of the province of Cádiz to the Second Division after 18 years, recalling the previous tenure of Virgili Cádiz and noting that Xerez DFC Futsal will be the one to debut in this category.
Guadalcacín FSF, a Jerez-based club in the Women's First Division, and former player Paquito also sent congratulatory messages. The Delegate for Sports of the Jerez City Council, Tomás Sampalo, rejoiced in the success. Even the rival, Mengíbar, congratulated Xerez Toyota Nimauto, while lamenting the incidents that occurred after the match when the Jerez team's bus was stoned.
The congratulations from Xerez Deportivo FC, the futsal section's original club, led by its president, Sebastián Alonso de Medina, underscore the close ties that still exist between the two entities.
