The holiday weekend began with severe complications on the main access roads to the province of Cádiz. A massive exodus of vehicles from Seville created a bottleneck on the AP-4, particularly near Los Palacios y Villafranca, where traffic volume reached its most critical point.
Despite the high vehicle density and warm temperatures, no serious incidents or road accidents were reported. In addition to the main jam, an extra three kilometers of slow traffic were added before reaching Las Cabezas, extending travel times.
“"To drive more safely, it is always useful to review driver recommendations before starting the journey."
For the return journey on Sunday, authorities recommend planning ahead. Peak traffic hours are expected from mid-morning until night. To avoid congestion, it is advisable to leave early, check DGT information panels, which will enable additional lanes, and maintain a safe following distance to prevent rear-end collisions.
