The 112 emergency service received over a dozen calls reporting the black smoke visible from the Valdelagrana area, near the breakwater by the Guadalete river.
Sources from the Cádiz Provincial Firefighters Consortium confirmed their involvement in the area, with several vessels affected. The land belongs to the Port Authority, and it is estimated that at least 15 boats could be involved, though the exact number is yet to be determined.
Firefighters from the El Puerto station are engaged in extinguishing efforts, with water and foam tenders from Jerez and Cádiz en route. Police forces are also present in the area.
