The interventions will take place on roads CA-9101, connecting Olvera and Coripe; CA-9123, between Grazalema and Zahara de la Sierra; and CA-9109, linking Algodonales and Olvera. These works are crucial for restoring the safety and functionality of the provincial road network.
The series of storms caused significant deterioration to the road infrastructure, leading the provincial institution to implement emergency procedures to expedite technical solutions. Between February 4 and March 5, 23 contracts were managed under this exceptional regime, with three new assignments added since late March to complete the action plan.
The company Probisa Vías y Obras SLU will be responsible for executing the works on CA-9101, specifically between kilometer points 5 and 7. This section suffered severe damage due to the flooding of the Guadalporcún and Arroyo Bermejo rivers, which swept away approximately 60 meters of the roadway near kilometer 6. The budget for this action, including technical assistance and health and safety services, amounts to 2,797,154 euros and includes the construction of a new crossing structure.
The second emergency contract covers repairs on CA-9123 in Gaidovar and CA-9109, which connects Algodonales with Olvera. These works have been awarded to the company Manuel Alba SA, with a total budget of 1,867,716 euros, including technical assistance. The main objective is to ensure the stability of these roadways, given the risk of collapse detected at several points.
The total investment for these new emergency contracts exceeds 4.6 million euros. This figure adds to previous assignments carried out on roads in the Sierra, La Janda, Campo de Gibraltar, and Jerez, raising the overall budget allocated to repairing storm damage to the provincial road network to over 21 million euros.
