The new stadium, which will replace the former Estadio Iberoamericano de Bahía Sur, has a 16-month execution period. Guamar SA is responsible for carrying out the works, with the aim of proceeding alongside the league season. Significant progress is expected to be visible after the summer of 2027, with the stadium scheduled to be operational before Christmas that year.
The new Isla de León Football Stadium will have a capacity for 8,000 spectators and will feature facilities adapted to professional football standards. This project, which has gone through multiple tenders and a seven-year process, signifies an ambitious commitment for the club and the city.
A symbolic groundbreaking ceremony took place on July 30th, attended by officials and approximately 400 club supporters. This event followed the signing of the site survey report by Mayor Patricia Cavada and the general director of the awarded company, Jorge Fradela, formalizing the project's commencement.
