The initiative, which included the participation of the territorial delegate for Educational Development, Francisco José Solano, the deputy mayor of the town, Juana María López, and the center's director, Teresa Balcaza, has involved around 50 students from various educational levels, including the specific classroom for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Inspired by ‘The Wizard of Oz’, the project uses the work as a narrative thread to transform concepts of emotional management and resilience into tangible technical challenges. Students have designed and built an interactive model applying the C.R.E.E.R. method and integrating programming, robotics, 3D printing, servomotors, and virtual reality.
A specific line of educational inclusion for students with ASD stands out for its sensory accessibility adaptations, visual understanding of emotions, and development of social and emotional skills.
Innovation, creativity, and empathy can be integrated to move towards a more equitable and inclusive educational model.
Territorial delegate Francisco José Solano positively assessed the project, highlighting the commitment of IES Santo Reino to initiatives that turn innovation into a tool for social and academic transformation.
