The event, taking place from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the dock of the Sports Marina, is part of the ‘Fuengirola en Forma’ program. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the world of fishing, its main techniques, and enjoy a day of camaraderie.
This initiative aims to promote the participation of people with functional diversity in leisure and sports activities on equal terms. Neurodivergent children and adults, as well as individuals with reduced mobility or wheelchair users, are expected to attend in an adapted environment.
The Councilor for Sports, Julio Rodríguez, along with Victoria Imedio from the El Puerto Sports Fishing Club, and Alicia Gómez, president of Fuensocial, highlighted the municipal commitment to accessible sports for all citizens.
Rodríguez emphasized that “in Fuengirola, we work to make inclusion and integration a reality in all areas, including sports,” thanking the collaborating entities for their involvement.
Victoria Imedio expressed the club's pride in organizing this encounter once again, noting the participants' passion for fishing. Alicia Gómez highlighted the excitement the activity generates among Fuensocial users, fostering a special bond.
Following the fishing session, a rice dish will be served to all participants, concluding an event that promotes coexistence, participation, and inclusion.
