This Sunday is expected to be adverse in the province of Almería due to meteorological conditions. The rainfall, which has already begun, will intensify throughout the day, especially in the northern area.
Aemet activated the yellow alert at 2:00 PM in the regions of Valle del Almanzora and Los Vélez. Accumulated rainfall of 15 liters per square meter is expected in one hour, along with storms that could be accompanied by very strong wind gusts. These alerts will remain active until midnight.
Additionally, from midday today until 5:00 AM on Monday, April 12, the Poniente coast and the capital will be under a yellow alert for coastal phenomena. Westerly winds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour, force 7, and waves up to 3 meters are anticipated.
For the remainder of Sunday, the State Meteorological Agency forecasts overcast skies with occasional showers, which could be locally strong and stormy. Suspended dust is expected during the first half of the day, potentially leading to mud deposits. Temperatures will drop, with a notable decrease in maximums inland, and winds will be light and variable, with moderate westerly intervals.
Looking ahead to Monday, Aemet anticipates skies with cloudy intervals, with a possibility of showers in the mountains during the first half of the day, tending to partly cloudy in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures will decrease, while maximums will remain unchanged or rise on the coast and fall inland. Winds will be moderate from the northwest, occasionally strong at high altitudes.
