The figure of Mohamed Al-Khereiji, president of UD Almería, has been noted for his accessibility to the club's supporters. Ahead of the match against Racing de Santander, the rojiblanco leader spent time with the fan club members who journeyed to the Cantabrian capital, highlighting his commitment and the collective desire to see the team reach Spain's top football division.
A total of 85 Almería fans undertook a long trip of nearly a thousand kilometers to support their team in the 35th matchday of the National League Championship in Segunda División, for the 2025-2026 season. This journey, despite the distance and the match time, underscores the unwavering loyalty of the rojiblanco supporters, who demonstrate their love for the UDA colors far from the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos.
It is clear that this Almería will never be alone in matches away from the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos, and in Santander, they could not be, facing almost 20,000 Racing fans coached by José Alberto López.
The trip for the Almería fan club members, who departed on Saturday from the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos parking lot, not only included attending the match but also the opportunity to visit the city of Santander. Although Racing de Santander sold 400 tickets for visiting fans, the long distance and Monday's work commitments prevented many other Almería supporters from traveling, who instead followed the match via radio broadcast.
