The team of officers from Almería has etched its name in the history of the National 'Alcazaba' Championship, a competition that annually brings together police forces from across Spain. This triumph in football 7 marks the first time the Local Police of Almería has won this prestigious title.
The sporting feat took place in Granada, where the tournament ran from April 7. The Almerian delegation not only excelled in football 7 but also demonstrated a strong overall performance, achieving a commendable sixth place in the national general classification of the championship.
The champion football 7 squad consisted of 18 members, including 15 athletes and 3 technical staff, all belonging to various units of the Almería capital's Headquarters. Their success is the result of an impeccable run on the field, characterized by commitment, discipline, and a strong team spirit.
In addition to football, participants competed in other disciplines such as police shooting, padel, cross-country, and mountain biking, combining individual and collective events. This sporting achievement reinforces the cohesion and pride of the Local Police of Almería, who have represented their city with excellence both within and outside the competition.
