The Jerez musical ensemble has reached an agreement with the Hermandad de la Borriquita in the Sevillian town of Lora del Río. This pact establishes that Banda Caridad will be responsible for the musical accompaniment during the procession on Palm Sunday 2027.
In this way, Banda Caridad takes over from the Banda de Cornetas y Tambores Fe y Consuelo de Martos. The latter had previously accompanied the Señor de Pasión in prior years.
It is worth remembering that Banda Caridad had a contract last year with the Hermandad de Columna de San Fernando for this same day. However, the separation between the two parties was announced earlier this month.
This new contract is in addition to another recent one announced by the Jerez formation. Weeks ago, they finalized an agreement with the Hermandad de Humildad y Paciencia de Sanlúcar, popularly known as 'La Cañita', for Holy Monday.
