The march, which has been authorized by the Government Subdelegation in Seville, will commence at 12:00 PM in the Plaza del Llano. The route will include Plazoleta Sevilla, Carretera de la Estación, passing by the barracks' entrance, continuing along Avenida del Guadalquivir and Calle Nuestro Padre Jesús, to conclude at the Town Hall.
This call to action follows a series of recent incidents that have caused alarm among the population. Last Easter Sunday, an armed delinquent broke into a grocery store, threatening the owner. Although he was arrested, he was later released, which has heightened the sense of impunity.
The following day, an attempt was made to steal a mobile phone from a twelve-year-old, prompting intervention from a group of residents. That same Monday night, disturbances and another assault were reported in the town, further exacerbating public concern.
We demand security, enough impunity.
The protest organizers have circulated a poster with the slogan “Cantillana fights for its security,” and demand “real security in the streets, effective Justice without impunity, protection for our families, and sentences that are truly served.” They emphasize the frustration caused by the release of criminals, even in cases of violent robberies, and encourage public participation with the message “Your presence makes the difference.”
