Two minor tremors have been detected in the early hours of Wednesday in the towns of Santa Fe and Atarfe, according to data from the National Geographic Institute (IGN). The first seismic event occurred in Santa Fe at 00:27 AM, registering a magnitude of 1.8 and an intensity of III.
Just 19 seconds later, the agency dependent on the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility recorded a second tremor in the neighboring town of Atarfe. This second earthquake had its epicenter at a depth of 5 kilometers and a magnitude of 1.5.
The 112 emergency system was informed of both seismic episodes; however, sources from the single emergency number confirmed that no calls related to them were received, suggesting the tremors did not cause alarm or damage.
