Five of the winning coupons correspond to prizes of 35,000 euros each, while a sixth coupon secured the top prize of 500,000 euros. All of them were sold by Bartolomé Sánchez, an ONCE vendor since 1997, at his usual spot in Plaza de España.
Visibly emotional, Sánchez expressed his joy at having spread luck in the town within the Metropolitan Area: "I am very happy to have given out the big prize, I tell everyone about it." He is still unaware of the identity of the lucky winners but is confident that "it has surely gone to a good place."
The vendor highlighted the good relationship with his clients, who surround and care for him, an aspect he considers the most rewarding part of his profession: "They love me very much, that's what I like most about my job, feeling loved and valued for what I do," he concluded.
The ONCE lottery draw on June 4th was dedicated to Environment Week. The remaining prizes from this draw were distributed among the autonomous communities of Asturias, Galicia, and Madrid.
