The assault took place near an establishment in Peligros when the detainee attempted to access an area reserved exclusively for employees, and the owner denied him entry. In response, the assailant stabbed the victim twice in the chest, causing extremely serious injuries, before fleeing the scene.
The victim was rushed to the Granada Trauma Hospital for surgery. The Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Granada took charge of the investigation, gathering witness testimonies describing the aggressor's clothing and his escape route.
This information allowed agents to reconstruct the suspect's movements and locate the address where he might have been hiding. With the collaboration of the Local Police of Peligros, a search and entry operation was carried out at the suspect's home on Monday morning, leading to his identification and arrest.
During the search, agents seized a knife and several items of clothing allegedly used during the assault. Additionally, 3,195 euros in cash were confiscated, and a plantation with 154 marijuana plants was discovered in one of the rooms, along with an illegal electrical connection.
The operation was conducted by the Persons Team of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard of Granada, with the support of the Citizen Security Unit (USECIC). The detainee will be brought before the Instruction Section of the Granada Court of Instance, facing charges for attempted homicide, threats, drug trafficking, and electricity fraud.
