The Palma del Río Performing Arts Fair has commenced its run for its 43rd edition, an event that the president of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, has described as a consolidated initiative and the second oldest theater showcase in Andalusia.
This edition features a program with a total of thirty shows, of which four are world premieres. The program highlights a clear commitment to Andalusian creation and the presence of women in creative processes.
Salvador Fuentes emphasized that the province of Córdoba has transformed culture into a lever for development, with the fair serving as a prime example. He added that the 10 popular theater performances across the province also represent a significant tourist attraction.
Fuentes stressed the institutional collaboration between the City Council, the Junta de Andalucía, and the Provincial Council as essential for the project's viability, noting that its impact extends beyond the municipality to encompass the entire province.
The provincial institution's commitment is materialized through an agreement that supports a project of nationally recognized quality in the performing arts.
Finally, the president of the Provincial Council praised the work of the City Council, led by its mayor, Matilde Esteo, highlighting that this effort ensures the fair remains a vibrant event that grows and evolves.
