The 27th edition of the Andalusian Market of Cádiz will begin this Friday, August 14th, and will run until Sunday, August 16th. For these three days, the Cathedral square and the El Pópulo neighborhood will transform into an authentic medieval souk inspired by the Al-Andalus era, offering residents and visitors a unique cultural experience.
The event combines craftsmanship, with over 50 stalls, gastronomy, culture, and entertainment. The market will feature animations, parades, live music, craft workshops, gastronomic tastings, and children's activities, allowing visitors to learn about ancient trades and traditions linked to Andalusian culture.
The aim is to recreate the atmosphere of Al-Andalus markets, promoting coexistence and cultural exchange. The historic center of Cádiz will be filled with colors, aromas, flavors, and sounds, with craftsmanship as the protagonist and the revival of traditional trades.
Market hours will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM on Friday and Saturday, and from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Sunday. The program includes various itinerant and static activities, such as storytelling, dance performances, jugglers, and fire shows.
