Efforts have focused on enhancing the fairgrounds, including lighting and decoration, alongside coordinated work by municipal departments and technical services to ensure a celebration befitting the city's importance.
This year's fair highlights inclusivity, maintaining measures such as unified background music across all attractions and the distribution of ride tickets to vulnerable families via the Municipal Institute of Social Welfare. Security will be enhanced with increased police presence, support from the Civil Guard, and collaboration from the Civil Protection volunteers.
Carlos Ruiz, a member of Cantores de Híspalis, has been named the godfather of the Royal August Fair. This appointment coincides with the group's 50th anniversary, for which they will receive the Andalusia Medal of Arts. Ruiz, who has family ties to Palma del Río, will represent the fair during this significant edition.
The musical program will commence on Thursday, August 20th, with performances by Cantores de Híspalis and Los Inhumanos. Friday, August 21st, will feature Los Aslándticos, Tarambana Show, and the Orquesta Nueva Torreblanca, along with Dj JLV. Saturday, August 22nd, will host Grupo Conexión, Rockopop, and Las Chicas de la Farándula, accompanied by DJ Albert Rivera. The fair will conclude on Sunday, August 23rd, with Hombres Rana (a tribute to El Último de la Fila) and Orquesta Conexión.
The Councilor for Festivals, Antonio Ramón Martín, detailed that the program is designed for all audiences, blending renowned artists, local groups, and orchestras. He noted the fair's growth in recent years, evidenced by an increase in the number of stalls, surpassing last year's occupancy rates.
