The Official State Gazette (BOE) published this Monday, September 14th, the announcement from the Alhaurín de la Torre City Council for the reinforcement of the Local Police with thirteen additional officers. Candidates have a total of 20 working days to formalize their application starting tomorrow, the 15th.
The bases for the call, previously published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Malaga (BOP) on July 17th, correspond to the 2026 Public Employment Offer. Nine positions are planned through a free-entry competitive examination, two through mobility without promotion via a merit-based competition, and another two reserved for professional military personnel of troop and marine corps, also through a competitive examination. Should these latter positions not be filled, they will be added to the free-entry pool.
The selection process includes theoretical-practical tests, physical assessments, psychotechnical evaluation, and medical examination, in addition to the subsequent entry course and a probationary period for those who successfully complete the process. The official syllabus aligns with current Andalusian regulations for access to Local Police forces.
This call joins the recent selection process for another nine Local Police positions, whose candidates took office as probationary civil servants last June. Specifically, eight officers were appointed through free entry and one through mobility, and the first eight are currently completing the mandatory training course.
With these thirteen new positions, the Alhaurín de la Torre City Council aims to strengthen the Local Police force, improve its operational capacity, and adapt human resources to the municipality's growth and public safety needs.
