Organized by the C.D. Escudería del Mármol, the competition will this year count towards the Andalusian Mountain Championship (with a coefficient of 5), the Deputation Cup, and the Car Cross Cup. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a drift exhibition.
The event is supported by the Provincial Council of Almería, the Regional Government of Andalusia, the Andalusian Motorsport Federation, and the Macael City Council. The official presentation took place in the Press Room of the Provincial Palace, attended by the Deputy of Sports, María Luisa Cruz; the president of C.D. Escudería del Mármol, Ana Belén Tapia; the mayor of Macael, Raúl Martínez; and the president of the Andalusian Motorsport Federation, Manuel Alonso.
María Luisa Cruz highlighted the significance of the Marble Climb in the Andalusian mountain racing calendar and thanked the volunteers, Civil Protection, Police, City Councils, various clubs, and the Federation for making it possible.
Raúl Martínez announced that, in celebration of the 50th anniversary, a special climb has been prepared. The program includes the presentation of participants on Friday afternoon at the Town Hall entrance. The heats will commence on Saturday at 10:30 AM and on Sunday at 9:00 AM, with three heats each day. The public will be able to view the verified cars in the closed park area at the lower part of the municipality.
Ana Belén Tapia detailed the participation of 132 drivers, including 89 touring cars, 11 single-seaters, 25 Car Cross vehicles, and 7 exhibition participants.
