The blaze broke out around 5:30 PM this Sunday, affecting the stretch between kilometers 152 and 155 of the highway, in the direction of Granada. The smoke column, visible from several points, caused concern among drivers traveling through the area.
Granada Firefighters, the Civil Guard, and Road Maintenance personnel were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the flames and secure the area.
As a consequence of the incident, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) reported that traffic in the area has been slowed, impacting the highway's usual flow.
