The Casa de los Mora in Lucena hosted the inauguration of a new course from the Intergenerational Chair “Francisco Santisteban” of the University of Córdoba (UCO). This initiative, which has around 80 enrolled students this year, aims to offer new learning opportunities and experiences to people over 50 years old.
Thanks to the collaboration between the Lucena City Council and the University of Córdoba, this program allows participants to continue training in various areas such as humanities, philosophy, translation, archaeology, and English (the latter online). The goal is to keep them active, promote knowledge, and foster new relationships.
“"With this new edition, we continue to bring university activity closer to our city and offer older adults a space to acquire knowledge, interests, and establish new relationships, without needing prior qualifications and with a great desire to learn and gain experiences."
Silvia Portero, deputy director of the Intergenerational Chair, highlighted the value of lifelong learning at any age and the opportunity the program offers to discover new knowledge and create bonds. She wished all participants a good course.
