Félix Romero, Delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment of the provincial institution, highlighted the importance of participating in this event, organized by Diario Sur. Twelve companies from Cordoba specializing in wine and vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, anise and liqueurs, pastries, snacks, and cheese will be featured.
The companies accompanying the Council are: Anís Machaquito, Bodegas Roquera Cabriñana, Bodegas Delgado, Bodegas Gómez Nevado, Lagar de Santa Magdalena, Lagar de los Frailes, Quesos Los Balanchares, Monteoliva, Obrador San Andrés, Patatas Fritas Maribel, Productos El Guiso, and the Cooperativa Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
Romero emphasized the strategic value of being present at this event, which focuses on wine and gourmet products, given that Malaga and the Costa del Sol are key markets due to their proximity and international connectivity. The aim is for Cordoban products to reach the tourists visiting the area.
The president of Iprodeco also pointed out that the fair will bring together representatives from hotels, restaurants, and establishments with high tourist traffic, representing an opportunity to expand the international reach of Cordoba's products.
During the event, a tasting titled ‘Córdoba en tu Boca’ (Cordoba in Your Mouth) will take place, demonstrating the versatility of Cordoban products from aperitif to dessert. Pairings will include oil from the Cooperativa de Cabra with Guadalupe, wine from Bodegas Nevado with Patatas Fritas Maribel, almond cookies from Obrador San Andrés with the amontillado from Bodegas Delgado, and andresinas with Anís Machaquito.
Other pairings will feature vermouth from El Guiso with Patatas Fritas Maribel, and a wine from Bodegas Cabrillana with organic cured cheese from the Sierra de la Subbética. These proposals aim to confirm how the union of Cordoban products mutually supports each other.
Romero concluded that Malaga offers the chance to sell locally and gain recognition far away, bringing twelve companies, twelve opportunities, and twelve municipalities, with the hope of generating business and employment.
