The fair, organized by the Zuheros City Council in collaboration with Los Balanchares, will take place at the Paseo de la Constitución. It will feature 23 exhibitors offering more than 60 types of cheese from small artisanal producers.
Félix Romero, delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, highlighted the event's importance in linking product promotion with territory and landscape. He also noted that 2026 will be the year of cheese for Córdoba, with the Zuheros fair coinciding with the World Cheese Awards in the Cordoban capital in November.
The mayor of Zuheros, Juan Manuel Poyato, emphasized the significant economic impact the fair has on the municipality and surrounding areas, anticipating over 15,000 visitors.
To facilitate visitor access, the City Council has created over 110 new parking spaces through the Sustainable Tourism Plan for Destinations.
Juan de Dios Serrano, manager of Los Balanchares, pointed out the participation of small artisanal cheese dairies, whose work helps sustain livestock activity and retain population in the region. The fair aims to re-establish artisanal cheese as a primary gastronomic and tourist attraction for Zuheros and the Subbética.
