The project, with a budget of 1,649,400 euros, will improve 950 linear meters and 15 meters in width, creating wide sidewalks, a bidirectional bike lane, and a new rainwater drainage system. The initiative, jointly funded by both institutions, has an execution period of 9 months.
The objective is to humanize the municipality and promote sustainable mobility. The new roadway will feature a continuous median and the speed limit will be set at 30 km/h, with elevated pedestrian crossings to ensure safety. Accesses to shops and properties will be adapted with a minimum width of 7.50 meters.
Beneath the surface, a new rainwater drainage network and a public lighting system with LED technology will be installed, enhancing visibility while reducing electricity consumption.

The total investment by the Provincial Council in Albox for development and infrastructure between 2016 and 2026 amounts to 9 million euros, with this project being the prime example of its commitment to the Almanzora region.
