Operations are particularly focused on industrial zones, roads, and public thoroughfares, responding to the need to preserve the city's cleanliness, image, and environment, as well as to ensure compliance with current waste regulations. In recent days, patrols and checks have been reinforced in areas where these behaviors have been most prevalent.
As a result, interventions are being carried out, and corresponding fines are being issued for irregular dumping and waste deposits, with the imposition of applicable sanctions according to current regulations.
The Local Police Headquarters is calling for responsibility and civic-mindedness, reminding residents that maintaining a clean municipality is a shared task and that abandoning garbage, furniture, or construction debris can lead to significant financial penalties.
Citizens are reminded that Bailén has a 'Punto Limpio' (Waste Disposal Center) located in the Polígono Industrial Valderrepiso, at calle Asdrúbal s/n, for the proper disposal of certain types of waste. The summer hours (June 1 to September 15) are Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Winter hours (September 16 to May 31) are Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Furthermore, the City Council offers a bulky waste and furniture collection service on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, to prevent their disposal in public areas.
The Local Police will continue to conduct periodic checks, paying special attention to industrial areas, roads, and access points to the municipality. Citizen collaboration is requested to keep Bailén clean, and individuals are encouraged to report illegal dumping to the Local Police or municipal services.
Prevention, surveillance, and sanctions will be the tools to combat these uncivil behaviors, but the collaboration and commitment of all citizens are fundamental to achieving a cleaner and better-maintained Bailén.
