The cooperative Almazaras de la Subbética, located in Carcabuey, will attend the event with ‘Sabor a Córdoba’, the brand promoted by the Provincial Institute for Economic Development (Iprodeco) of the Provincial Council of Córdoba. It will be part of the Cordoban representation, comprising a total of 18 agri-food companies from the province, aiming to showcase the quality of Cordoban products and establish new commercial contacts.
The Delegate for Economic Development and President of Iprodeco, Félix Romero, highlighted that Auténtica 2026 will bring together approximately 12,000 professionals and 321 exhibiting companies in 15,000 square meters. The fair seeks to leverage its international dimension to open up possibilities for participating companies, allowing them to connect with operators from countries such as the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Canada, Colombia, South Korea, and Thailand, among others.
The participation of Almazaras de la Subbética aims to enhance the projection of extra virgin olive oil produced in Carcabuey and the Subbética region to national and international markets, as part of a strategy to promote Cordoban products and generate new business opportunities.
Alongside Almazaras de la Subbética, other companies will be present, including Alvear and Pérez Barquero (Montilla), Belloterra Delicatessen (Añora), Bodega Vega Natun (Córdoba), Bodegas Toro Albalá (Aguilar de la Frontera), Cortijo de Suerte Alta (Baena), Mielinízate (Villa del Río), Membrillo El Quijote (Puente Genil), Patatas Fritas Maribel (Moriles), Patatas Raquel Food (Cañete de las Torres), Rodríguez Chiachio (Cabra), Setacor Micología (Villafranca de Córdoba), Sociedad Cooperativa Virgen de la Torre (La Victoria), and Sucesores Hermanos López (Luque).
During the fair, Bodega Vega Natun will introduce a premium bitter orange vinegar made with oranges from the Patio de los Naranjos of the Mezquita-Catedral. Bodegas Francisco Arrabal will present ‘Ocaso’, a wine made through an oxygenative process, and ‘Pa’ Dentro’, a wine-based aromatized drink. Meanwhile, Pérez Barquero will launch ‘G1 Brut Nature’, a sparkling wine developed in collaboration with the University of Córdoba.
Félix Romero emphasized that participation in such events goes beyond promotion, aiming for the commercial contacts generated to translate into new economic opportunities and job creation for the province's municipalities and regions.
