This project, promoted by the Andalusian Health Service, aims to increase renewable energy production and reduce reliance on the conventional power grid. Beyond energy generation, the new structures will provide shade in the parking area, improving comfort for patients and their families during the hottest months of the year.
The construction work is expected to last approximately six months and will temporarily reduce parking capacity by about 17%. Despite this, the hospital has confirmed that the parking lot will remain open and provisional measures will be implemented to ensure access to medical services without disrupting clinical activity.
This action is part of the hospital's broader sustainability strategy, which already includes measures such as a thermal power plant, LED lighting, and tree planting. Due to the limited parking space during the works, users are encouraged to use public transport or walk whenever possible.
