The city of Lucena has officially presented the program for its Feria Real de Ntra. Sra. del Valle 2026, which will take place from Tuesday, September 8th to Saturday, September 12th with a budget of 130,000 euros and special lighting.

The Feria Real de Ntra. Sra. del Valle 2026 in Lucena debuts a new schedule, running from Tuesday, September 8th to Saturday, September 12th, eliminating the Sunday session. The Councilor for Festivals, Araceli Rodríguez, emphasized that this change aims to concentrate activities on peak attendance days and adapt the program to the citizens. The allocated budget amounts to 130,000 euros.
This year's lighting will feature over 61 arches, a 16-meter entrance portal, 2,000 meters of garlands, more than 300,000 LEDs, and 15,000 lanterns. The booth structure remains similar to last year, with 12 booths and four bars in the Municipal Booth area, in addition to the four permanent booths from the old fairground. The Municipal Booth, with free entry, will receive an investment of 44,407 euros for its removable tents, funded by the Diputación de Córdoba's Plan Diputación Invierte.
Tuesday, September 8th, designated Children's Day at the Fair, will offer popular prices on attractions and a Noise-Free Fair from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, specifically designed for individuals with noise sensitivity. The official inauguration and lighting ceremony will take place at 9:00 PM, handled by CD Ciudad de Lucena in recognition of their achievements and the excitement generated by their new season after promotion to Segunda RFEF. The musical program will include a DJ set and León Animación at the Municipal Booth. A Children's Zone with various activities will also be available.
On Wednesday, September 9th, the XXI Paseo de Enganches y Caballos Los Cabales 2026 (Parade of Horse-drawn Carriages and Horses) will take place, organized by Lucena Ecuestre. The Municipal Booth will host a Ballroom and Sevillanas Dance Showcase, followed by performances by Dúo Néctar and Argentina y su grupo cubano. Thursday, September 10th, will continue the equestrian parade and feature music from Rockopop and Mago de Oz, alongside new activities for children and youth.
Friday, September 11th, will again feature the horse and carriage parade, while the Municipal Booth will present María de la Colina and Tete Pineda, with a special guest performance by young Alejandro Alba Sánchez. The night will conclude with José de Rico. On Saturday, September 12th, the final day, there will be an awards ceremony for outstanding horse riders by Lucena Ecuestre, followed by performances from Los Cenacheros, Vinilo 8.0, and Javi Medina.
The fair will implement measures for inclusivity and safety, including identification bracelets for minors, priority on attractions for individuals with sensitivities, and a Nursing Room. The Violet Point, Safety Zone, a taxi stand, and coordinated emergency services will be maintained. The youth gathering area will remain in its usual location with provided services.
Complementary events include the Grand Final of the XXVIII Becerradas Cycle on Saturday, September 5th, at the Plaza de Toros, broadcast by Canal Sur, and the XIX Feria de Ganado Ntra. Sra. del Valle (Livestock Fair) on Sunday, September 13th, at the old Vía Verde train station.
Araceli Rodríguez expressed gratitude to the municipal departments, operational services, security forces, and participating organizations, inviting citizens to enjoy a fair that preserves its identity while embracing a new era.
