The Real Feria de Nuestra Señora del Valle in Lucena now has its official image for the 2026 edition. The proposal by designer José Ángel Ligero Martínez was selected from the 17 entries submitted to the contest organized by the Department of Festivities, Traditions, and Customs.
Araceli Rodríguez, head of the municipal department, highlighted the high quality of the submitted works and thanked all authors for their participation. The chosen poster will be the main image for a special edition of the fair, which will take place from September 8 to 12, adopting a new Tuesday-to-Saturday format. All submitted works will be exhibited in the Sala de la Buhardilla of the Palacio de los Condes de Santa Ana until August 16.
The winning poster, selected by a jury comprising representatives from all municipal political groups, features a composition with significant visual impact. The artwork centers on the figure of a woman dressed as a flamenco dancer, employing vivid colors and a contemporary aesthetic to convey the festive atmosphere and identity of the Feria Real del Valle.
José Ángel Ligero Martínez boasts over 25 years of experience in graphic design and poster creation, having accumulated more than 250 awards in contests held across Spain. Although unable to attend the presentation due to travel, the author conveyed his gratitude and satisfaction upon learning his work was chosen as the announcing image for these festivities.
With the unveiling of this poster, the countdown begins for the fair, for which the program is being finalized to offer citizens days of fun, color, and activities for all audiences.
