The municipality of Iznájar will host its first Photo Marathon on October 3, 2026, a cultural initiative designed to showcase the locality's landscape, heritage, and human richness. The event is open to photographers of all skill levels.
The competition features two categories: adult (over 16 years old) and child (under 16). Participants will be free to explore the municipal area throughout the day to capture images reflecting the essence of Iznájar, including its streets, monuments, landscapes, customs, and residents.
Registration is free and can be completed until September 26, 2026, via email at cultura@iznajar.es or by phone to the City Council's Culture Department at 646448759. Participants must register on the day of the event at the Municipal Public Library, the starting point.
The marathon will run from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Each contestant must submit between six and twelve photographs, which will be judged by a specialized jury on criteria such as technical quality, creativity, originality, and relevance to the proposed theme.
In addition to fostering artistic creation and citizen participation, an exhibition of selected works will be organized, offering diverse perspectives on Iznájar.
In the adult category, prizes will be 600, 400, and 300 euros for the top three photographs. For the child category, prizes will be 200, 100, and 50 euros, along with diplomas.
