The Andalusian Public Education Agency has opened the bidding period for companies to submit their proposals until May 12, marking the beginning of a significant transformation for the educational center. This initiative aims for a complete renovation of the facilities, adapting them to current and future needs.
The plan includes the full replacement of the Primary building with a new construction that will comply with accessibility and safety regulations. Meanwhile, the Infant classroom block, built in 2013, will be reorganized to integrate a modern library. The goal is to create a one-line school for Infant and Primary education, with capacity for 225 students.
The construction will be carried out in two phases to ensure the continuity of teaching activities. Initially, the new Primary building and administrative area will be erected on the space currently occupied by the sports court and other open areas. Once this stage is completed and the educational community has moved, the current building will be demolished to construct a gymnasium, changing rooms, and reorder the exterior of the premises.
A distinctive aspect of the project is the preservation and enhancement of an octagonal building housing a medieval ceramic oven, dated between the 12th and 13th centuries. Additionally, new play areas, landscaped zones, covered porches, a school garden, and partial covering of one of the multi-sport courts will be added. The project will also incorporate photovoltaic solar panels and bioclimatization systems using adiabatic cooling, committing to sustainability.
