Both meetings, taking place at the Hotel Fuente las Piedras, bring together approximately three hundred professionals from across Andalusia, along with participants from other parts of Spain. The aim is to exchange knowledge to improve healthcare practice in Primary Care.
The opening day was attended by the municipal delegate for Health, Rosi Lama, who accompanied the organization and the participating professionals. The hosting of these conferences positions Cabra as a key meeting point for specialists, residents, and tutors linked to Primary Care.
The conferences for residents and tutors, held on October 22 and 23, offer complementary training through lectures, debate panels, practical workshops, and the presentation of scientific communications, aiming to strengthen professional and academic activity in Family and Community Medicine.
Meanwhile, the X Andalusian Ultrasound Conferences will take place on Saturday, October 24. The program includes workshops on abdominal ultrasound, echocardioscopy, thyroid, pulmonary, and vascular ultrasound, tailored for professionals at various experience levels. These sessions aim to advance the use of clinical ultrasound as a support tool for healthcare and foster contact and experience exchange among professionals from different centers.
The choice of Cabra as the venue is attributed by the organization to its location in the Subbética region of Córdoba, the opportunities it offers to combine training and knowledge of the environment, and its significant socio-health and university character. Furthermore, the arrival of the participants also presents an opportunity to showcase the city and boost the activity of its establishments and services.
