The municipal corporation of Cabra gave the green light this Monday to the tax ordinances for 2027, which include bonuses on the Real Estate Tax (IBI) for protected housing. A 50% bonus is established for the three tax periods following its final qualification and 40% for the subsequent four years, upon request. The agreement also includes technical adjustments to the Market ordinance and the General Ordinance for Tax Management, Collection, and Inspection to adapt municipal procedures to the collection system delegated to the Provincial Council of Córdoba.
Mayor Fernando Priego thanked all political groups for their unanimous support for not raising taxes, stating, "It is good news that we all agree not to increase them for another year, and that makes 12." He noted that despite the rising costs of services, this fiscal policy will be maintained with greater expenditure control to avoid increasing the burden on residents.
By urgency, the Plenary approved the review and partial modification of the Job Valuation for the Local Police, including the positions of Police Officer, Officer, and Chief Sub-Inspector. She defended the use of "objective and quantifiable criteria."
Other approved initiatives include VOX's proposal on the conservation of the historic neighborhoods of Cerro and La Villa, and UVEga's initiatives regarding the transfer of the ‘Heliodoro Martín’ Sports Park and support for protected housing cooperatives. The PSOE's motion on the state of ‘La Tejera’ Park did not pass. An urgent motion was also approved to promote the review of the Job Valuation for the entire municipal staff.
