The municipal company Procasa, through its president and Councilor for Housing and Sustainable Development, Ana Sanjuán, has presented the Second Municipal Housing Interior Rehabilitation Plan at the Casa de Iberoamérica. This plan has a budget of one million euros and is aimed at tenants of the municipal housing stock in Cádiz.
During the meeting, residents of the city's municipal housing were informed that they can apply for aid of up to 10,000 euros for interior renovations of their homes, provided they meet a series of requirements. This plan follows the line of the First Plan, which is already 90% executed.
Ana Sanjuán highlighted that the main objective is the conservation of the housing, the improvement of energy efficiency, and the enhancement of habitability, health, and accessibility conditions.
The first phase of the plan, which has already begun, consists of dissemination to potential beneficiaries. The second phase will involve the selection of applications by a technical committee, and the third will correspond to the execution of the works.
Planned actions include the adaptation of bathrooms to improve accessibility, rehabilitation of exterior carpentry, elimination of humidity, and adaptation of general facilities.
The requirements to access the aid are: to be the homeowner, for the property to be over 10 years old, income below 3.5 times the IPREM, the dwelling not to be included in any neighborhood remodeling plan promoted by the Cádiz City Council, and to be up-to-date with rent and community payments.
The councilor reported that, after the dissemination phase, scheduled for December 1st, the call for applications to register and opt for this aid will open.
This second plan aims to continue the rehabilitation of the municipal housing stock, much of which does not meet the ideal accessibility conditions for the elderly or people with reduced mobility.
