The town of Alcaudete has kicked off the 21st edition of its Calatrava Festivals, recording unprecedented success on its opening day. The massive attendance of residents and visitors exceeded all expectations, filling the municipality's streets despite coinciding with a Spanish national team match.
The Grand Medieval Parade, one of the central activities, featured dragons, falconers, giants, and groups such as Militia Regis and Cardyra, demonstrating the deep-rooted nature of this festival that transforms the town's identity.
Friday night offered a renewed lineup of live performances that was very well-received by the public. Highlights included the premiere of the immersive show 'El Gran Maximus de Arabia' and the striking fire and circus performances by Rex Infernum, one of this year's main novelties, which drew a large crowd to the festival grounds.
