The program, coordinated by the Heritage department, aims to promote cultural exchange under this year's theme. The main day will feature free admission to the Museum and the opening of a new exhibition in the Vitrina Cero room at the Abacial Palace.
The centerpiece of this exhibition is a hippopotamus femur fragment, dated to approximately 800,000 years ago, found in the local area. This paleontological piece is a highlight for understanding the natural history of the region.
“"We encourage residents and visitors to visit the museum during these days to see how the collections rotate and to discover unique and curious pieces."
The activities will continue until early June. On May 22nd, an intervention at the Clock Tower will be presented, allowing for a deeper look into the history of the Fernando de Tapia mechanism. Finally, the local government will present a new artwork acquired for the municipal gallery, accompanied by a specialized lecture.
