The competition seeks original proposals that capture the essence of the fair, promoting its conservation and promotion. The deadline for submitting works is August 6th at 1:00 PM.
All residents in Spain can participate, submitting a maximum of two unpublished original works per author. The theme is free but must be related to the festival and include the legend “Real Feria de San Mateo de Alcalá la Real” and “September 17-21, 2026”, along with the city's official coat of arms.
Posters must be vertical, measuring 64 x 44 centimeters, and created digitally. The final artwork must be provided in digital format at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Works created partially or entirely with Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not be accepted.
Submissions must be made exclusively online through the Electronic Office of the City Council, attaching a single anonymous JPG or PNG file. Minors under 18 must have their legal representative submit the entry.
Two prize categories are established: 600 euros for the winning work in the over-18 category, which will be the official image and cover of the fair's program; and 300 euros for the under-18 category, whose work will illustrate the back cover. The jury may award a single honorable mention of 100 euros.
The jury will particularly value the artistic and technical quality, originality, creativity, and visual impact of the proposals, as well as their ability to represent the identity and traditions of the fair. Awarded works will become the property of the Department of Festivities.
The complete rules can be consulted on the municipal website, the City Council's Electronic Office, and the National Database of Subsidies. For any registration issues, interested parties can contact soporte@alcalalareal.es, juan.martin@alcalalareal.es, or call 687 602 530.
