This morning, Friday, September 4th, a Local Security Board meeting was held at the Guillena Town Hall. The meeting was chaired by the mayor, Lorenzo Medina, and attended by the Deputy Government Delegate in Seville, Francisco Toscano, along with representatives from the Civil Guard, the National Police attached to the Autonomous Community, and the Local Police, as well as the Councilor for Citizen Security, Manuel Jara.
The main objective of the board was to address the security deployment planned for Guillena's Popular and Patron Saint Festivals, scheduled from September 8th to 13th. An increase in personnel from both the Local Police and the Civil Guard has been announced.
The security plan will include preventive traffic controls and searches with specialized dogs to detect narcotics and weapons. Emphasis will also be placed on preventing the sale of alcohol to minors.
From this Local Security Board, a commitment has emerged to ensure close coordination among the different administrations to guarantee that the Fair proceeds with tranquility and safety for all attendees.
